Thank you to everyone who helped make the 2006 MilBlogging Conference a huge success.

We're here getting ready for you guys. I'm here with Some Soldier's Mom (and her fabulous husband), Melinda, Tony, Greta, Silke and the VFW team. It's gonna be awesome.......

If you will be attending the Conference this weekend representing a non-profit or grass roots effort that supports our troops or our Military Families, Departments of the Veterans of Foreign Wars are interested in putting together a meeting (Friday night at Frans?, Saturday at Lunch?, before or after the Conference?) to share and explore ways that the MilBlog Community can independently work together to effectively meet as many needs as possible.

Are you packing for this weekends Conference? Do you have everything you might need (hint hint) laptop, webcam, digital camera or camcorder, jumpdrive, firewire ect. ect.

If this sounds like a shopping list it is. We are looking for volunteers to assist us in streaming the event live to our Military Community around the world and assist us in capturing the event for posterity. Mr. and Mrs. Greyhawk will be moderating the online conference event. Details will be released later today.

When we did the Blog Nashville MilBlog Session event we streamed it into the ethernet. There was no  perment video record of the event captured. We want to make sure that dosent happen this time.  Anyone interested is assisting us please leave a comment below or e-mail us

The "Hidden Heroes" tribute video that Todd Clegg has been working on in support of the MilBlog Conference is finished. If you are like me you recieve a forwarded link at least once a week, from family or friends, "passing on" one his very insprirational videos that he dedicates in support of our troops and their families. You can view his expanding work here.

Should we let it out now or wait and do a "World Premiere" on Saturday morning to help open the Conference?

Meanwhile here is a teaser to hold everyone.

As an update to this post, we have changed the location of the Friday evening gathering. We will now be meeting for drinks and conversation in the bar of Fran O'Brien's Stadium Steakhouse at 8:30 p.m. on Friday evening. Any and all conference attendees are welcome.

On Friday evening, April 21, we're planning an informal meet-up at Pitchers Lounge, which is located inside of the Marriott Key Bridge Hotel. For those of you who can make it, come on over. We'll be there from 7:00 - ????
